Neuromuscular massage therapy (NMT) is an advanced form of bodywork which integrates specific techniques, including flexibility stretching, to remove neuromuscular pain and bring the central nervous system into balance with the body’s muscular system. Neuromuscular massage focuses on the five elements which cause pain – nerve compression, decreased blood flow, biomechanical dysfunction, postural distortion, and trigger points. One of the main differences from general deep tissue massage is that neuromuscular massage sessions may not include a full-body massage, as treatment is focused on the specific area of discomfort. You will be booked with a certified Neuromuscular Therapist for your session.
Myofascial release massage stretches and melts the connective tissue, relieves pain, increases range of motion and improves posture. This massage uses little or no oil to reach deep into the connective tissues.
Scar Tissue Massage is a common method used to help remodel scar tissue that has developed in injured tissue. It is a treatment used after surgery, fracture, or soft tissue injuries like sprains and strains. Scar tissue massage is also known as scar mobilization or scar tissue mobilization. As body tissue heals from trauma (surgeries, injuries, car accidents) adhesions develop and scar tissue forms. Scars continue to grow and change throughout the recovery process (12 to 18 months). A specific protocol will be followed with new scars, but massage will not help soften a scar more than two years old. The therapist will guide you in self-care techniques that you can practice at home. Be sure to check with your doctor to ensure that proper healing has taken place and that scar tissue massage is appropriate. In general, the scar must be fully closed and no scabbing present to begin scar massage.

Thai Yoga Massage is an effective and comfortable way to get the necessary stretching that we all need. This bodywork technique uses passive-assisted stretching, where your therapist will assist you to move into your stretch. The work is purposely slow as the therapist guides you through the stretching movements, while being aware of your physical limits. The combination of movements, stretches, and acupressure during your service provides a relaxing yet invigorating session of energy work and tissue rejuvenation. The stretching movements in Thai Yoga Massage affect your entire body by improving flexibility, releasing both superficial and deep muscular tension, and deep relaxation with quieting of the mind. The benefits of the massage are similar to yoga, leaving you feeling both relaxed and energized at the same time. Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a soft floor mat rather than a raised massage table, which allows for the most effective use of the practitioner’s body weight rather than muscular force for the transmission of pressure, force, or energy. Pillows and bolsters may be used for better support. You remain fully clothed, except for the feet. Clothing should be light, comfortable and allow for flexible movement and deep stretching. The work itself consists primarily of pressure on energy lines and points, and a large variety of stretching movements. Pressure is exerted with the therapist’s hands, feet, knees, elbows, and legs to facilitate the process. The pressure and stretching movements are combined in a comprehensive strategy. No oil is used during these sessions.
Lymphatic Drainage (LDM) is a very gentle technique utilizing rhythmic, precise hand movements and sequences that aim to influence vessels under the skin to improve lymphatic flow and aids in re-routing congested lymphatic areas. Your lymphatic system is effectively your body’s drainage canals. Toxins and metabolic waste is flushed out of muscle tissues via the lymph system. In this way, the lymph system plays a vital role in your immune system. Lymphatic drainage is a gentle process that encourages these channels to drain and clear up, improving health both mentally and physically.
